Au Pair's Message to Families
Dear Family
I'm a South African currently residing in the UK on a working holiday visa. I have always been involved with children, from the age of twelve. At this age I began helping with Sunday school and church events for younger children. As I grew older I would go as a group leader to camps for teenagers or be involved with a group of teenagers in discussion groups for periods of a year at a time (therefore building relationships with them).
I have been involved in various holiday programmes for children, both as a team leader and team member. In these we would organise events that would creatively keep children active and busy while they were on holiday.
All through my life I have also babysat for people. In my theological course we had certain modules specifically focused on children which has also developed my understanding of working with children.
