Family's Message to Au Pair or Nanny
It will be difficult to imagine where you are going to be living for the next 12 months. We will try to make your stay in Belgium as pleasant as possible. Let me try to tell you what I do, where we live etc. We live in Varsenare, a town near Bruges. This town (Bruges) has around 118.000 habitants. My house was build around 1960 and is what we call two houses under one roof. I moved to this town because my travelling distance to work was too far and taking me to much time. The house is close to the school of the children & to the center of the town of Varsenare. The busstation is on a short distance (2 minutes walk). The town of Bruges has a lot off historical buildings and an old centre with shops. From the house it is a small trip to the centre. I like to see my children as much as possible therefor I don’t work in weekends. The mother of me is living two streets further, so we have the chance to see a lot of her. Belgium is famous for it's food & lifestyle. The children loven to ride on a bike. Maybe you like to cycle. There are a lot of roads where you can cycle. My oldest daughter is 6 years old. She has her birthday on the 16th of April. She is very cheerful and likes to talk. Outside is her favourite place to be. She goes to school every day from 08.30 till 16.15 except on Wednesdayafternoons (till 12.00) and Friday then it is till 15.00. The twin is 4 years old. They have their birthday on the 30th of June. They hang on to each other and they are very sweet, as is their oldest sister. They also go to the same school as their sister. They don’t sleep at all in the afternoons. The days of my children have a structure. Every morning around seven they get their breakfast and around 8.15 they leave for school. Their lunch is between twelve and one o'clock (at school). They get fruit and drinks again around 3 o'clock. Before diner it is bathing time. Diner is around six o’clock. Then after dinner it is time to go to bed. I try to have dinner with the whole family. For example: meat, vegetables and potatoes.I'm a employee at at postree time we like to do as many activities (for example cycling) with the children as possible. We like to be around our home, cook and work in the garden. I like to garden and go for a swim with the children. With regards,
