Au Pair's Message to Families

Dear family.

I'm looking for an au pair job with a great family! I expect that this family treat me well and I will do the same. I'm really looking forward to this new experience, I think it will be great for my, to broad my knowlege about the world. I also had an experience abroad, I lived for 1 year in USA as an exchange student, so I speak fluent English. So I think it won't be that difficult to comunicate. I'm also trying to learn some dutch vocabulary through a website and I'm taking french classes twice a week. I think the most important thing between me and the future family will be comunication. To solve problems and any other issues. I'm very mature to have a conversation and to take constructive criticism. I also have some experience with kids, not this summer but last summer I babysat two kids, they were 12 and 10 years old a girl and a boy. I know them since they were born, of course I was a kid back them, but the trip was great, the main responsabilities was supervise them, showering, eating, going to bed early, keep them out of trouble, etc. They were grown up kids and they have a lot of little fights but they were well behaved . I also babysat their cousin too, was a little girl 3 years old, that required more atention. So I would bath her, give her snacks, take to the park, play with her, drive her to her grandma's house, take her for a walk, the only thing I didn't do was taking her to bed or nap time because she always wanted her mommy and would cry a lot, but her mom was a stay home mom, So I think it was difficult because of that! But it was great I'm really attached to them, and we still keep in touch! I'm not a paid member so if you want to see your e-mail!
