Nanny job description

We require live in or live out help with our 9 & 11 year old girls starting in September 2012, for at least one year, but possibility to extend beyond that time. Fully responsible for ensuring the packing of lunches, getting the girls to and from school, homework, practicing musical instruments, and then keeping the girls busy with activities after school ends and assisting with the care of a small dog. In addition to the assistance with the children and dog, would like to have house maintained and dinner ready during the work week (Monday to Friday) and be able to run chores, get groceries, etc. as needed.

Family's Message to Nanny

We are a busy family with lots on the go and with both mom and dad pulling some long hours here and there we are having difficulty in coordinating schedules which has made getting a nanny the only solution. Currently we have a live out nanny that will be with us until the end of August 2012 when she goes back to school.

Our girls will be 9 & 11 at that time and will be starting Grades 5 & 6. They will be taking a bus to school in the next town over. We live in a rural area of our town, but very close to town limits (one corn field away). We have some property to enjoy (with pool and trampoline, etc.), and are surrounded by beautiful pear and cherry orchards on neighbouring properties. We are very close to the Niagara Falls area (approximately 20 to 25 minute drive) and close to transportation into the Toronto area. Downtown Beamsville is a easy 2 km walk from our house with restaurants, grocery store, health food store, hardware store, gym, etc. We also have an aboveground pool which is great in the summer months.

Our nanny would have to be able to accomodate the normal day to day hours getting the girls to school and back but also, when our schedules conflict we would need some longer days here and there when one of us is out of town for work. We would love if you could drive, to pick up groceries, or the girls at school or at music lessons when needed.
