Au Pair or Nanny job description
What we offer is a live-out position in the city center. We provide a very nice accommodation in an apartment very close to where we live. We're very dynamic and easygoing and we think that living in an international environment is the most exciting thing a kid could experience. We have two wonderful girls Rebecca (13) and Febe (8) and baby boy, Brando, who's just turned one! We really need a full-time nanny who might want to spend a fantastic year (at least!) with us. Your duties are standard, focused on the daily routine, such as taking care of the Brando, playing, teaching English, helping the girls with their homeworks... Of course you're encouraged to promote the activities you like. We'll be glad to assist you to harmonize your duties with your own personality, as to bring out your abilities and minimize any possible discomforts. The scheduling is for 5 days a week, free weekends.
Family's Message to Au Pair or Nanny
This is not our first experience with au-pair nannies! On the contrary, we have been now in the ‘circuit’ for a while. At the beginning, in 2002, we decided to try to find an English speaking nanny just for the language: we lived in the US for a while, and Rebecca (who was 3 at that period) started speaking English. We did want her to continue to practice English also in Italy on a regular basis, and so we thought that the best thing was simply to let her spend time with an English speaking baby-sitter. But then everything happened: in less than eight years we, as a family, had the chance to get to know so many wonderful people coming from abroad, who maybe just baby-sat for a while, or stayed for longer periods. We are still in touch with everybody and what we noticed is that all these people have truly enriched our life in such an unexpected way! Rebecca and Febe know that our nannies cannot stay forever with us, but they also know that they had the great opportunity to live with each of them an extraordinary experience and we think that both Rebecca and Febe have the constant feeling of being part of it. For these reasons, we are not just looking for someone who take care of them, but mostly for someone who is willing to live a piece of life with us and then to be part of the family forever. We know it is a great responsibility but we also know that it is very natural when the relationship is based on respect and trust. Also, we feel this is something we want to give to our kids: a patrimony of human richness! So our expectation are high but yours are surely higher! Don't forget that we've a list of our previous nannies who will be more than happy to share details of their experiences with you!
