Au Pair's Message to Families
Dear Family, My name is Karina, I'm 19 year old and I come from Poland. In 2011 I finished my high school education with flying colors, and as I wasn't yet decided where I would like to continue my further education, I've decided to master my Italian and become an au pair in one of the most beautiful countries in the world - Italy. My first language is obviously Polish, but I've been living with an American stepfather since I was 11 years old so my English is fluent. I also worked as an English tutor during my high school years. My Italian is on a pretty advanced level, but I would like to improve it even more. I read lots of books in Italian and I've noticed that it's really helped widen my vocabulary. I have done an Italian course on the University Catollica during the summertime. I have not only brushed up my Italian skills but also completely fell in love with Milan and it's stunning architecture. My babysitting experience involves taking care of my mother's friend's children and my three little cousins. Somehow I always manage to get along really well with children and I sincerely enjoy spending my time with them. In the future I consider being a pediatrician. I'm an open minded young person that loves spending time outside, playing tennis, soccer but also staying in and playing with puzzles or drawing.
