Au Pair's Message to Families
Hi!
My name is Carolyn , but most people just call me Carrie. I am a recent graduate of the University of Michigan. I finished my degree in Movement Science in December 2011. I grew up in a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While I was away at college, my family moved out to the countryside, so I currently live in the countryside of Pennsylvania. I have 3 younger brothers that I have helped my mom care for my entire life. In addition, I have had babysitting jobs growing up.
My career aspiration is to become a Medical Doctor and I plan on pursuing a medical education either this fall or next fall, but right now I have some free time to go abroad and work because I finished my degree early!
In college I was the co-captain of my club lacrosse team for 3 years! I also coached a high school club lacrosse team while I lived in Ann Arbor. I have had a lot of experience in leadership positions and in working with many people.
I am very active and I try to exercise everyday. Eating right and exercising are very important to me. Growing up I played almost every sport, including: soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, basketball, and softball. I also know how to ski, ice skate and swim.
Throughout grade school and high school I studied French for 6 years. In college I took one semester of French. I would consider myself to be conversational in French, but my goal is to become fluent!
