Au Pair's Message to Families

To whom it may concern,

My name is Roseanna and attached is my CV.

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about myself. As my CV will hopefully show you I am extremely passionate about working with people, especially families. Having finished working abroad at the end of October 2011, I have had the opportunity to take a month long cultural trip to Egypt. I believe I would be suited to a nanny opportunity as I have experience working with adults and children of various ages plus at present I’m currently completing an English Course enabling me to teach English as a foreign language. My interpersonal skills are well developed, I am well spoken, I have a positive attitude to life and think this opportunity would be very rewarding.

Whilst at high school I completed a Child Development course educating me on the development and mile-stones of children, this experience also allowed me to supervise at a couple of Playgroups. As you will see from my recent ventures I like to travel and I have developed and widened my knowledge of other countries, picking up basic phrases in Turkish, Arabic and French, as well as understanding their culture. My placements abroad were fast-paced and energetic which I thrived in, plus I learnt to deal with a range of issues. Working regularly alongside the Kids Club Manager we would plan, organise and participate in activities for children between 3-13 years old. Through loving my work I am motivated and an organised individual who enjoys working as part of a team as well as working well by myself.

I am always striving to continually broaden my knowledge in the work that I am doing, even if that means in my own time, outside of work. I feel that I can bring new ideas from both my work and personal experiences to a family and would like the opportunity to develop and further expand my skills. I aim to provide a high level of quality service and I am proud to say that this has been commented on in good feedback from previous guests and also on the website Trip Advisor.

In my work placements abroad I have made some good friends from Russia which is where my interest for coming to work in the country has come from. Having decided that I want to have more contact with children and specialise in education I am now looking to make the next step in my life. I look forward discussing the position with you further.
