Au Pair's Message to Families

Hi, my name is Frine . I live in Canada and I'm 17, but I will be 18 in December. I don't graduate high school till June 2012 so I'm not looking for anything until after that. I am mature, dependable, patient and caring, compassionate, friendly and gentle. I understand that most of you are probably looking for someone age 20 and up but I can assure you I am capable of taking care of multiple of kids. I am quiet until I get to know someone but with kids I am usually energetic! I love working with kids especially with babies and toddlers as well as up to about 6-12 years old. I do quite a bit of volunteering children from ages newborn to 5 years old through out the year. I run a nursery with another student for a couple hours one school night a week through out the school year and in the summer I work in a nursery at a summer camp with newborns -2 year olds for a couple of weeks. During my Grade 11 year I did a 16 hour practicum at a daycare and this spring I am planning on doing a 50 hour practicum at another daycare. I enjoy babysitting, reading, baking, and travelling. I want to go to University for Early Childhood Education and I would like to specialize in Infant and Toddler Care so that I can work in a daycare. Eventually I would like to own my own Daycare. I would also like to take a year off sometime in the future, when I can get enough money, and travel around the world! I have my Food Safe Level 1 Certificate and my Babysitters Certificate, and I'm planning on getting my First Aid Certificate before I graduate. As for additional languages I have a basic knowledge of Spanish.

I want to work with children because I love being around them and they're fun and energetic! I want to form a bond with a child. I want to work with children because I can easily understand them and with them theres something new and fun all the time!

I'm looking for a family that is happy and loving and that are willing to talk and get to know me so that I can get to know them as well. And a family that is willing to accept me as a part of their family more so then an employee.
