Au Pair or Nanny job description
We are seeking a babysitter to look after our children in the evenings and occasionally to pick up our 8 year old from school. The hours we seek are mostly on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday nights. Time frame is normally from around 6 pm to 12 am, sometimes less and sometimes more. Occasionally we require babysitting from 4.00pm to 8.00pm during weekdays.O ur hours change week by week and some weeks there will be nothing so the candidate needs to be flexible. The candiate must like dogs and cats. Duties include feeding the children but food will be provided. Making sure homework has been done. Putting the children to bed and being able to look after them in a caring and responsible way.
Family's Message to Au Pair or Nanny
Our family life is a little topsy turvy. Myself and my husband are both musicians and work very strange hours. We have two boys one 8 and one 12. They are great boys but can get argumentative between themselves and we need someone who is strong and firm but doesn't get angry or shout at them. The boys for their age are very grown up and like to entertain themselves a lot of the time but our youngest boy does like more interaction. He loves his playg and reading. Bed times for both boys is at 8.30 unless it's a weekend. We don't have rules as such but basic common sense must be put to good use.
