Au Pair's Message to Families

Dear Family,

I'm a 23 year old girl from Antwerp, Belgium. I was born and raised in Belgium by both my parents. I also have a 21 year old sister who studies interior architecture.

After finishing high school, I studied communication management for 3 years at a college in Antwerp. I graduated with honor. After finishing school, I started working. I worked for 2 years in a communication agency where I worked as a Junior Media Expert. In may 2010 I started a new job as an Account Manager for a Belgian TV station.

My hobbies and interests are travelling, dancing (for years I took ballet classes, jazz dance, salsa, etc.), cooking, going out with friends, movies, going to the theater and of course taking care of children.

Why do I want to be an au pair? First of all, I love children and I love taking care of them. It seems an incredible experience to live in the USA or in Australia and be part of a family. This is something I've been wanting to do for a long time and I think now is a good time because I'm single and young and look forward to this adventure.

I would love to teach children things, as well as help them with their schoolwork. I am also prepared to help with the housekeeping. I think being an au pair makes you stronger and is not only instructive for the children but also for the au pair herself.

I believe being an au pair includes a lot of things: cooking, playing, teaching, tutoring, driving the kids to school, going to the playground, etc. Basically, having fun and working hard at the same time.

I can't wait to start this new adventure and I hope to find a lovely family somewhere in the USA or Australia. I can start at any time and I'm willing to stay for 12 months.
